This Rescue Mission Thrift store is located on Tunnel Road in Asheville near the VA Hospital. Traveling west on Interstate 40 from Marion, take exit 55 and turn right at the end of the ramp onto Porters Cove Road. Take Porters Cove Road for approximately one quarter mile to Highway 70/Tunnel Road. Turn left onto Highway 70/Tunnel Road and go approximately one and a half miles. The store is on the right just past the VA Hospital. Parking is available in front of the store. This store has a better than average Household section. The Book section is fair to good. Don't go into this store expecting to find furniture. The Men's and Women's clothing section are average but a little crowded. I have seen better than average shoes at this store. The dressing room is clean. I've not had the chance to check out the bathroom yet.
Favorite section - The household section usually contains some outdoor gear which makes me happy.
Favorite purchase - I bought a large bow saw for $3. I always take it with me camping.
